Jingbo Yu

Jingbo Yu est né en 1971 à Dalian, une ville importante du nord-est de la Chine. Fils de parents ingénieurs d’origine chinoise, il a grandit aux côtés de sa sœur. Après avoir exercé pendant dix ans un poste dans une banque chinoise, Jingbo, en quête de nouveaux défis, a décidé de venir s’établir à Montréal.

C’est donc en 2004 que Jingbo a emménagé à Montréal où il a d’abord pris des cours de francisation. Fort de ses connaissances linguistiques et professionnelles, Jingbo occupe depuis 2007 un poste dans une compagnie d’assurance du Grand Montréal.

Motivé à faire connaître davantage la communauté chinoise de Montréal, Jingbo s’implique activement dans le projet en espérant établir des ponts entre les cultures québécoise et chinoise.

Jingbo Yu was born in 1971 in Dalian, a large city of north-eastern China. He and his sister grew up in this city with their parents, who were both engineers. After working for a Chinese bank for ten years, Jingbo felt the need for new challenges and decided to move to Montreal.

When he first arrived in this city in 2004, Jingbo took intensive French courses. With his new language skills and his professional background, Jingbo found a job with a Montreal insurance company in 2007 and he continues to work there.

Motivated by the desire to make Montreal’s Chinese community better known to the rest of the population, Jingbo has become actively involved in this project which he hopes will build bridges between the cultures of Quebec and China.
